New Year, Same Focus

Happy New Year from all of us here at Azara Healthcare! While 2021 is starting with the same harsh reality of the global pandemic that has plagued us for the better part of the past year, I continue to be inspired by how hard all of our clients and partners are working to assure their patients are cared for in spite of all the challenges. I take this opportunity to once again salute and acknowledge all of your efforts.

As we look toward the new year with hope for an expedient vaccine deployment and the pandemic to subside, we also stand ready to assist you in these efforts. Azara is methodically enhancing our COVID-19 reporting to help you identify those patients who meet the criteria to receive vaccines and those who have had the first inoculation and need to be recalled in a timely manner for the second. Keep a lookout as these additional reports will be coming over the next days and weeks. In addition, for those of you using Azara Patient Outreach (APO) aka texting from Azara DRVS, you will soon have a “Set it and Forget it” campaign for vaccine recall.

In case you missed it, I also want to call your attention to the announcement we made in late December regarding our partnership with Hughes and Company, a leading Healthcare IT growth equity firm. As part of the investment by Hughes, Azara has merged with the population health division of SPH Analytics to create a sizeable, standalone population health company, better equipped to support the needs of our clients. This combination provides access to additional resources that will help us innovate and support our clients’ expanding population health endeavors, as they enter into value-based care arrangements and form IPAs, ACOs and CINs—each with unique characteristics and technical requirements. More information on the transaction can be found here.

We are taking a slow, measured approach to integrating the companies and products, so you should not expect to see any changes until later in 2021. Right now, our DRVS team remains focused on our key 2021 FQHC related goals and objectives—which first and foremost include assisting our clients with their 2020 UDS preparation and filings, providing the necessary COVID-19 reporting to make it easier to care for your patients, and continuing to enhance DRVS based on your feedback and requirements—whether for quality improvement programs or to help your journey toward value-based care.

Our team remains at the ready to assist you. Please let us know how we can help.

My best wishes for a happy and healthy new year.
