DRVS Receives 2014 ONC HIT Certification

Azara Healthcare is pleased to report that the Azara DRVS reporting and analytics platform has received certification for Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2 measures from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT  (ONC), an achievement that ensures continued MU success for our many clients.

More specifically, the certification means that DRVS (3.6.1.) and DRVS CQM, 1.0 our cloud-based reporting and analytics service, are compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition Standards & Certification Criteria. The product was certified as a modular electronic health record (EHR) last December.

The certification came from InfoGard Laboratories, Inc., an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

We are especially pleased with this achievement because Azara DRVS is among the few stand alone, reporting and analytics products that have been certified to the 2014 edition criteria. The certification means that all of our community health center clients will now have the ability to track and report their clinical quality measures (CQMs) using the latest standards (2014).

Since DRVS is delivered via a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, all of our clients will be able to take advantage of this new functionality without having to install any software or worry about upgrading to a new version in order to be ready to meet the 2014 requirements.

With the introduction of the 2014 Eligible Provider standards, a whole new set of Clinical Quality Measures has been is introduced.  While many are similar to the 2011 standards that are being replaced, these new measures contain some significant changes in definitions of numerator and denominator criteria.  To help our clients better understand these changes, Eric Gunther from our development team recently conducted a video presentation on how the 2014 CQMs compare to 2011’s, and how the Azara DRVS platform is prepared to help health centers meet the new measures.  In the video, he examines some of the measures that have changed and explains Azara’s approach.

Azara’s certification includes 25 of the 64 2014 Edition Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), prioritizing those measures which are most relevant for primary care, care coordination and performance tracking. The full list can be found at:  DRVS 2014 MU CQMs.   It is important to note that all providers must use the new 2014 measures regardless of what stage of Meaningful Use they are in.

With this development, Azara clients will now be able to take advantage of the same easy to use reporting and analytics that they have come to expect from Azara DRVS for tracking and submitting their chosen Meaningful Use Clinical Quality Measures.

As we roll out these new measures, we look forward to working with our health center clients to assist them in maximizing the efficiency of their clinical quality improvement activities.
