To all of our clients, partners and friends,
I am pleased to announce that we have decided to move forward and set a date for the Azara 2020 DRVS Virtual User Conference, September 22-24. With the pandemic still affecting our ability to gather and travel, this year’s conference will be held online and our team is working hard to try to recreate some of those intimate moments of magic that happen when you bring 350+ DRVS users into one place.
While I know it will be different, we have lined up some great content and speakers and hope you will join us in an effort to learn more about the different ways DRVS can be used to improve the care you deliver and the health of your patients.
I wrote in mid-March how disappointed I was that we would not have the opportunity to convene at the 2020 Azara DRVS User Conference here in Boston. Of course, at the time, I could not have imagined the devastation that this virus and the associated economic fallout would have on our clients and our country as a whole, nor did I think we would still be dealing with these issues in August.
I have spoken with many of you over the past few months and I am amazed at the strength and resilience of our Community Health Center partners and how you have responded to the needs of your patients and communities. I am honored and humbled to work with so many professionals dedicated to assuring necessary healthcare is delivered no matter what obstacles may arise.
Since the Azara team decamped our brand new office in March, we have been continuing to work very hard to help meet the rapidly changing needs of our health center, PCA and network clients—introducing reporting related to identifying patients at high risk for COVID-19, tracking those infected, as well as better understanding things such as the transition from office to telehealth visits and racial, ethnic and other disparities in access and care. I am hopeful these efforts have in some way assisted you in navigating this difficult time.
For me, the Annual DRVS User Conference has been a high point of each of the past three years, as our clients from near and far meet each other and with the Azara staff in a very personal and collaborative learning environment. Every year I have walked away from our event energized in knowing that the work we do here at Azara in some way makes a difference in the care your organizations are able to deliver to our country’s most vulnerable.
While this year I cannot wander through the lobby, speak with you over a cocktail, or just catch up on all of the events that have taken place since we last met, I am confident that we can deliver you a highly educational and worthwhile experience.
On behalf of all of us at Azara Healthcare, I hope you will join us at our Virtual User Conference in September and I look forward to “seeing” you soon.
