SPH Analytics’ Receives NCQA Certification for 2020 HEDIS Measures
Alpharetta, GA – SPH Analytics (SPH), a leader in healthcare analytics and population health management, announced that the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has certified its Population CareTM | Quality Measures application for HEDIS® 2020 Health Plan and Allowed Adjustments Measures, increasing its measure library to 39 in HEDIS 2020.
HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set) measures, as established by the NCQA, are used to evaluate health plans’ clinical quality and customer service. More than 190 million people are enrolled in plans that report HEDIS results, which includes measures for physicians, Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), and other organizations, making it one of health care’s most widely used performance improvement tools. The certifications validate SPH Analytics’ quality measure engine in its calculation of measure performance and care gap reports.
These additional certifications bring the SPH HEDIS measure library to 39 measures in the following domains:
- Effectiveness of Care
- Utilization and Risk Adjusted Utilization
- Access and Availability of Care
- Electronic Clinical Data System
SPH plans to expand its measure library to 50 HEDIS MY 2020 measures in early 2021.
The Quality Measures solution empowers healthcare providers to track their HEDIS performance, identify care gaps, and implement intervention models that can proactively improve the health of their population. The certified measures also overlap with all of the CMS Star Measures, enabling health plans and provider organizations to monitor these key measures year-round.
In addition to the measures being key to the Quality Measures solution, care management technology vendors also leverage SPH’s HEDIS measure library as an extension of their platforms.
