Azara Team Completes Pan Mass Challenge for Third Year - Raising Over $50K for Cancer Research

2024 marks another year in the books that the Azara BKRS (pronounced bikers) surpassed their fundraising goal. The BKRS’ goal this year was to reach $50,000 which they were able to exceed with the help of many supporters including friends, family, and trusted clients and partners. The team is very grateful for all the support via fundraising and in person during the race.

Social PostThis year the BKRS had eight riders with two completing the two-day ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown, two completing the virtual ride, and the rest completing a one-day ride. One of our riders, LuAnn, has been with us from the start and wasn’t able to participate this year due to familial circumstances. LuAnn’s mom passed away after a battle with lung cancer and Alzheimer’s and we continue to think of her and her family during this time. The BKRS continue to ride to honor those we’ve lost and to actively support finding a cure for this horrible disease.

In November 2021 we lost our dear friend and colleague, Heather Budd, to ovarian cancer. And while each member of the team has their own reasons for riding, we continue to be brought together by the loss of our colleague and friend.

The team actively fundraised through events, social media and a bit of healthy competition, matched by a generous donation from Azara. The Azara BKRS surpassed their goal to raise $50,000 and are planning to exceed that number once again in 2025.

We will continue to strive for a higher fundraising goal in 2025 and as I like to say, you do or donate. We’d love to have you join our team and ride with us but if that’s not a possibility, encourage you to donate. Thank you all for the support and we’ll see you all next year.
