Hello everyone, and happy National Health Center Week!
All of us at Azara Healthcare wish to take this opportunity to commend and thank community health centers (CHCs) across the country for their tireless work in bringing high-quality healthcare to millions of people.
Since their establishment by more than 40 years ago, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) continue to grow as an integral piece of our country’s healthcare delivery system.
The numbers tell the story. According to the National Association for Community Health Centers (NACHC), 1,200 CHCs serve some 22 million people across 9,000 sites in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and every U.S. territory. Many centers have expanded to include a full array of health services, including dental, behavioral health, pediatrics, vision, and even diagnostic imaging. Our CHCs function as a critical safety net to many of our most vulnerable populations.
Here at Azara, we have the privilege of working hand-in-hand with more than 100 centers across 14 states. We witness firsthand the dedication and commitment of the hard-working physicians, clinicians and staff that provide unparalleled care to their patients. We are also encouraged by their eagerness to implement new technologies and innovations that help to improve care delivery, streamline operational efficiency and reduce costs. An increasing number of centers are achieving patient-centered medical home (PCMH) status, and effective data collection, analysis and reporting is a central component to PCMH success.
We are proud that Azara’s DRVS analytics and reporting tools help centers make their data actionable, which positively impacts care outcomes and center operations.
August is a big month for Community Health. We will travel to San Diego in two weeks for the NACHC Community Health Institute & Expo (CHI). We look forward to our highlighted joint-presentation with one of our customers, Baltimore Medical System, and meeting up with health center leaders and staff. We sincerely hope to see you there.
Community Health Centers continue to be among the leaders in adopting innovations for patient-centered primary care. We are proud to be associated with these premier care facilities, and we hope our clients feel recognized this week for all their hard work, dedication and vision for the future.
